EMC and Silver Peak compiled results for RecoverPoint from joint testing conducted with EMC and real-world customer examples. Silver Peak was able to help RecoverPoint sustain consistent replication throughput in networks with higher latencies. The example below shows replication between east and west coast sites in the United States over an IP VPN. Typical network latency was 80ms with a 1% rate of packet loss.

While EMC RecoverPoint provides an efficient data protection solution, longer distance WAN connections can undermine replication performance. High latency, bandwidth contention, or out-of-order or dropped packets can result in missed RPOs and potentially failed replication.

Reports segment storage traffic by type (replication and / or backup), and application (such as EMC RecoverPoint or EMC SRDF/A). Metrics display per minute, per hour, and per day and include a 10¬-day graph showing changes made over a weekend.
