Silver Peak and Point5 Managed Services Announce Expanded Partnership; Adding Unity EdgeConnect to its Network-as-a-Service Offerings

Growing Partnership Enables Distributed Enterprise Clients to Build, Orchestrate and Monitor SD-WAN Deployments with Greater Ease, Efficiency and Effectiveness

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 10, 2017 – Silver Peak, the global leader in broadband and hybrid WAN solutions, today expanded its partnership with Point5 Managed Services, a Connecticut-based technology services partner, integrating the Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution into its customer-proven Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) service offerings. Point5 will now leverage EdgeConnect to enable its distributed enterprise clients to more efficiently build, orchestrate, and monitor their WANs. Point5 has an 18-month proven track record of successfully assisting clients with the design and implementation of the EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution. Point5 clients realize significant network and application performance gains following their EdgeConnect deployments.

With the addition of EdgeConnect to its NaaS services portfolio, Point5 can now effectively deliver a managed SD-WAN service to dramatically lower clients’ underlying connectivity costs. The new service optimizes site-to-site and site-to-cloud applications traffic enabling clients to utilize inexpensive commodity broadband without sacrificing network or application performance. The Silver Peak solution also enhances application visibility and enables the prioritization of business-critical applications including VoIP and video.
