Silver Peak Appoints Kevin Purser as VP of Operations

Former Cisco Executive Hired to Accommodate Growing Demand for Company's Network Acceleration Appliances

Mountain View, Calif., April 4, 2006 – Silver Peak Systems (www.silver-peak.com), a leading supplier of network acceleration solutions, today announced the appointment of Kevin Purser as vice president of operations. Mr. Purser brings extensive experience in the areas of manufacturing and customer support to Silver Peak, where he will be responsible for managing the company’s supply chain strategy and technical support initiatives. 

Mr. Purser has almost twenty years experience in the high tech industry. Most recently, he served as acting vice president of supply chain and logistics at Linksys, a division of Cisco.  In his eleven year tenure at Cisco, Mr. Purser was responsible for a variety of key operational areas, including manufacturing, scheduling, materials, planning, fulfillment, and customer service.  Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Purser spent several years at a variety of early stage high tech companies.  He holds a BS in Mathematical Economics from Santa Clara University.
