Company Brings 10 Years of Wide Area Networking Expertise to SD-WAN Working Group

NEW YORK, Oct. 28, 2014 – Silver Peak today announced that it has joined the Open Networking User Group (ONUG) and is a sponsor of the ONUG Fall 2014 event in New York City, October 28-29.  ONUG is a user-driven community comprised of IT executives that are leveraging the power of their engineering and procurement to influence the pace and deployment of open networking solutions.

IT leaders and ONUG Board Members are driving forward with Working Groups to address the top 3 use cases that came out of the ONUG Spring 2014 event. Software Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) is among the top three use cases identified by the group and most likely to be included in an RFI or RFQ in the next 12 months. Silver Peak joins the SD-WAN working group as a recognized leader in wide area networking, and will provide guidance on the tactical and strategic requirements that can help guide next-generation WAN implementation and efficiency in the branch.
