Silver Peak Wins Two Network Computing Awards; SD-WAN Vendor of the Year and Network Project of the Year with Mazars

SANTA CLARA, Calif., May 28, 2019 — Silver Peak®, the global SD-WAN leader, delivering the transformational promise of the cloud with a self-driving wide area network™, today announced that it has been awarded ‘SD-WAN Vendor of the Year’ and ‘Network Project of the Year’ for its business-driven Unity EdgeConnect™ SD-WAN edge platform and customer deployment with Mazars at the 2019 Network Computing Awards in the UK. This marks the second consecutive year that Silver Peak has been recognized for its SD-WAN innovation and successful customer deployments.

The Network Computing Awards celebrate the best companies and technology solutions that help to keep networks running effectively, as well as the business-critical applications that run on them. It also recognizes the industry’s most innovative and inspirational projects of 2019.

Mazars Awarded Network Project of the Year

As a top 10 UK accountancy firm with a global footprint, Mazars had run private MPLS circuits from its data center – located at its headquarters in Tower Hill, London – to its 18 UK offices and seven international offices supporting 1,700 employees and 140 partners. When the company opened its international branch sites in Australia, Delhi and New York, Quality of Service (QoS) across its existing MPLS WAN architecture resulted in challenges in connecting its users to cloud-based applications.

Since its deployment of the EdgeConnect SD-WAN edge platform, Mazars is now making the most of a hybrid WAN approach. Digital transformation is continuing to have a big impact on businesses today – especially on IT departments – as workloads are becoming increasingly cloud-based for speed and agility. Mazars is now able to fully embrace the cloud, without compromising network or application performance.

“Winning these two awards reaffirms our market position as the global SD-WAN leader, enabling our customers to realize the full transformational promise of the cloud,” said Kristian Thyregod, vice president, Europe, Middle East and Africa region for Silver Peak. “We are delivering true business value to companies like Mazars by enabling them to gain efficiencies, move with greater agility and realize both hard and soft savings. We are delighted that our work continues to be recognized, and the fact that the awards were voted on by the industry and Network Computing readers is the icing on the cake.
