• daily = once per day at midnight
• weekly = once per week
• monthly = on the first day of every month rotation criteria size <megabytes> rotation criteria size-pct <percentage> Rotates log files when they surpass a specified percentage of /var partition size per log file. rotation max-num <number of files> Specifies the maximum amount of log files to keep. The value must be between 0 and 4294967295. upload <filename> Determines the path for a remote host. Optionally, you can specify a new destination filename. (config) # logging files delete oldest 4(config) # logging files rotation max-num 350To upload the log file, “messages” to an account at the remote SCP host, “ocean”, and rename the file to “messages_April2007”:(config) # logging files upload messages.2.gz www.catchall.com/tmp/(config) # logging files rotation criteria size-pct 85
