New Deployment

By now, you’ve already installed the GX-1000 or GX-1100 hardware, as well as software for the GMS server and client. Or, you’ve installed the GX-V virtual GMS server.

This chapter is for those users who want to get up and running quickly. Depending on your circumstances and what you want to accomplish, this involves a subset of the following:

•	creating and storing appliance pre-configurations before installation, if you have access to the appliance serial numbers

•	having appliances auto-discover the GMS server as they’re deployed for the first time

•	importing or adding appliances to a group

•	creating a template (group) that contains the non-unique variables you want to apply across appliances

•	having the GMS automatically generate all tunnels and policies for the deployment you select

•	producing your first reports.

It also describes how to expand your network after the initial deployment.
