Interfaces Report

The Interfaces report lists the appliance interfaces.

n	As a best practice, assign static IP addresses to management interfaces to preserve their reachability.

n	Speed/Duplex should never display as half duplex after auto-negotiation. If it does, the appliance will experience performance issues and dropped connections. To resolve, check the cabling on the appliance and the ports on the adjacent switch/router.

Terminology

n	blan: Bonded lan interfaces (as in lan0 + lan1).

n	bvi0: Bridge Virtual Interface. When the appliance is deployed in-line (Bridge mode), it's the routed interface that represents the bridging of wan0 and lan0.

n	bwan: Bonded wan interfaces (as in wan0 + wan1).

n	tlan: 10-Gbps fiber lan interface.

n	twan: 10-Gbps fiber wan interface.
