In-Line Bridge vs In-Line Router

In-line mode basically behaves the same in either Bridge or Router ModeOut-of-path deployment, where data traffic is redirected by using policy-based routing (PBR), Web Cache Coordination Protocol (WCCP), or Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP). with the following differences.

CAUTION:       Installing or replacing an appliance in in-line mode requires taking down the network link.
